The OwnPlace Home Database Module is a portable, reconfigurable unit designed to inform neighborhoods in Pittsburgh, PA about local real estate and homeownership opportunities. The module offers access to the OwnPlace database website, which posts local home listings. This project is part of wider plan to encourage homeownership and increase property values around Pittsburgh in the near future.
The module is made up of eight primary sections, one of which houses a computer, touchscreen, and printer. After the initial assembly of each section, all are easily assembled due to their specially designed joints. Each section fits through a standard doorway. Seen here is my portion of the larger group project. My four group members worked on neighborhood analysis, outreach, and web design. I was responsible for the design of the unit, 3D modeling, all diagrams, and all renderings.
