Quick-Composting Aerator

Together with local composting venture Harvest Cycle, my teammates Kat Maddox, Doug Huang and I diligently researched new ways to speed up their composting cycles to allow higher intake volume. Through generative research, thorough testing, and iterative design, we ultimately developed a device that will speed up Harvest Cycle’s process by roughly 200%, while decreasing the labor involved. The proposed solution is easy to make from parts available at every Home Depot. Parts cost under $20 without a new blower, and $215 with.
